What we do

Smart Consumer Institute is an independent non-governmental organisation that has been bringing a new perspective on consumer issues related to the rapid development of new technologies since 2018.

The Institute aims to address questions related to the regulation and use of the internet and modern technologies across numerous sectors (incl. digital innovations, platform economy, sustainable food systems, health systems & wellbeing, energy, environment, climate, etc.), with a particular focus on how these changes impact consumers in the CEE region.

As a part of our commitment to creating better consumer environment and empowering consumers, we:

  • Publish expert policy papers, research materials and studies on a range of key topics
  • Educate consumers on how to navigate the Single Market and understand their rights
  • Execute communication and digital/social media campaigns to frame the public debate in a way that highlights pro-innovation consumer voice
  • Organise expert roundtables, workshops, and conferences
  • Actively engage with key policy and decision makers
  • Direct online campaigns that inform consumers about the latest innovations that will advance the quality of their lives

And so much more…
